Pumps and Control Systems

Capabilities

Advances in technology have allowed pumps and controls to become increasingly flexible with improved efficiency for a range of applications.

mid kent water has taken full advantage of modern pumping technology and state-of-the-art control systems in its own water supply installations.

Our Project Services team can offer a full design, installation and operation service, with the benefit of a wealth of experience with all types and sizes of pumps and controls in the water industry.

In many cases control equipment can be pump mounted, to minimise space and cabling requirements. Alternatively, wall mounted or free standing control panels are ideally suited to confined space situations, with the controls mounted in an accessible and safe area.
With much of this equipment being “off-the-shelf” we can provide appropriate pumping installations within short timescales.

Increasingly water companies are moving away from pumped-storage systems, using variable speed pump controls to give maximum flexibility and control into “closed” pumped systems.

This approach gives many benefits, allowing improved efficiency of performance, reduced cost of pumping, with the added benefit of minimising system leakage from excess pressure.

On a number of recent schemes mid kent water has coupled the most cost effective pumping equipment available, with compact micro-processor controls to provide simple pumping solutions, with high efficiencies, but at a low cost.

Because our engineers are working with mid kent water to provide appropriate solutions for a range of pumping installations they have gained significant expertise. Capabilities include:

Installation of pumps and controls;
PLC programming;
Telemetry design, installation and
configuring.

We can offer integrated control systems, designed for specific requirements, allowing the interaction of different equipment and controls, including monitoring equipment, actuated valves, pumps and treatment plant.
